What is the maximum number of comments on a google+ post?

I found a cool post that i liked under what’s hot section and want to really comment on it. 

I could not find a comment text box and all i could do was re-share it.
Is there any maximum comment limit per post?

Yes there is a maximum limit on comments per post. 

Right now the maximum is 500 comments for any post.

Still want to comment? Then the only option right now is by re-sharing the post with the public and commenting on it.
